Cristiano Ronaldo of Al-Nassr was recently taken aback by his colleagues at the club with a unique cake after the seasoned forward won three awards at the 2023 Globe Soccer Awards.

The 38-year-old won three prizes at the Globe Soccer prizes 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, earlier this Friday, January 19. In addition to being named the Fans’ Favourite Player of the Year, he was awarded the Maradona Award and the Best Middle East Player title, according to Sportskeeda.

The Al-Nassr players celebrated the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player’s recent individual victories on Sunday, January 21. They gave the celebrity a cake with a handwritten note that read, “Awards keep following the GOAT.”

After scoring 54 goals in 59 games overall for Portugal and Al-Nassr in 2023, Ronaldo will play his next encounter on January 24 against Shanghai Shenhua and then Zheijang four days later. On February 1, he’ll probably play in a friendly against Inter Miami, headed by Lionel Messi.

After winning the Maradona Award, Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo spoke candidly about his respect for Argentina’s legendary player, Diego Maradona, in an interview with Portuguese daily Record. He clarified: “As I said at the gala, these are two awards that I don’t have in my museum. So it makes me very happy, especially Maradona, who unfortunately is no longer with us and who was a player I always admired.”
