Ghanaian football star Jordan Ayew has been honored by the Ghana Football Association for reaching a milestone 100th international cap for Ghana.
Jordan Ayew, who plays as a forward for Crystal Palace, was presented with a prestigious golden boot by the football governing body, marking him as only the third Ghanaian player to achieve this remarkable feat.
Ayew made his debut for the Ghana national team on September 5, 2010, in a match against Swaziland. His journey to 100 caps included memorable moments such as scoring his first and second international goals in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.
The 32-year-old achieved his 100th cap during the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire, where he notably scored two goals in three matches against Mozambique.
Following this achievement, Jordan Ayew has continued to represent Ghana with distinction, making appearances in matches against strong opponents such as Nigeria, Uganda, Mali, and the Central African Republic. His recent performances have also elevated him to the 6th position in Ghana’s all-time top scorers chart.
