Michael Jackson, born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Jackson’s contributions to music, dance, and fashion, along with his philanthropic efforts, made him a global icon.

Jackson began his career as a child performer in the Jackson 5, a group formed with his brothers. They achieved great success in the late 1960s and early 1970s with hits like “ABC,” “I Want You Back,” and “I’ll Be There.” Jackson’s exceptional vocal range and energetic stage presence made him stand out even at a young age.

In the 1980s, Jackson embarked on a solo career and released his landmark album “Thriller” in 1982. It became the best-selling album of all time, with iconic tracks such as “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” and the title track “Thriller.” The album’s groundbreaking music videos, including the 14-minute “Thriller” video, revolutionized the music industry and propelled Jackson to superstardom.

Tragically, Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50. His death was caused by acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication, administered by his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray.
