Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s relationship has faced a critical reevaluation during the production of Lopez’s documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”
According to a source close to the couple, this project has been a pivotal moment in their marriage. The insider revealed to In Touch that the documentary was “a real eye-opener for them,” highlighting underlying issues that had been simmering beneath the surface.
During the making of her album “This Is Me… Now,” Ben, 51, expressed his surprise upon discovering that the 54-year-old singer had shared his love letters with songwriters. He remarked on camera, “Things that are private I had always felt are sacred and special in part because they’re private. So, this was something of an adjustment for me.”
Jennifer herself acknowledged Ben’s discomfort in the documentary. “I don’t think he’s very comfortable with me doing all of this,” she admitted. “But he loves me, he knows I’m an artist, and he’s gonna support me in every way he can because he knows he can’t stop me.”

Despite his support, the dynamic between the couple began to shift. The source explained, “They both sat back and looked at how different they really are. While Jennifer loves being the center of attention, Ben would rather live his life away from the spotlight. At the end of the day, they both just want different things out of life.”
This revelation suggests that the documentary not only chronicled Lopez’s professional journey but also served as a catalyst for the couple to reassess their relationship, bringing to light their differing life desires and goals.
