Ghanaian Reality Series, GH Queens, ‘Beats’ Real Housewives of Lagos at AMVCA 2024

In a thrilling showdown at the 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in 2024, the Ghanaian reality series GH Queens emerged victorious, triumphing over Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOL) for the best Unscripted Series on Africa Magic in 2024.

The win over RHOL, a popular reality franchise known for its drama and glamour, emphasizes the growing influence of Ghanaian entertainment on the African stage.

This award signifies not only the show’s success but also the growing power of Ghanaian storytelling.

“We poured our hearts into GH Queens”, Ayebea ‘BZ’ Darko, creator of the show, said. “To go up against these great shows and to win Best Unscripted Series is mind-blowing!”

GH Queens follows the lives of Ghanaian Influencers – Efia Odo, Mona 4 Real, Michy Diamond, and Cookie – and how they navigate the spotlight.

It seems the “Queens” stole the hearts of viewers across Africa! GH Queens is available to stream on Showmax.
